if you go surf or kite the further north spots of santa cruz you will pass by the swanton organic berry farm and its tourist iconic sign on highway 1. their berry jams are amazing, and i am not even talking about their berry desserts! by the way, if you need some big strawberry pies for a party, they cater their yummy pies for super cheap! a fun family activity to do in summer months, is to go hand pick the berries directly in one of their fields between waddell creek and ano nuevo.
