marathi families visiting the vitthala temple. on the left is iconic stone chariot, that was used in temple ceremonies. the stone wheels are now almost frozen, though one can distinctly see the wheel fixed on the axis. in the right is huge gateway entrance to the temple complex.

This was one of a series of archaeological excavations that occurred in a Western Kentucky area during a 1930's by a University of Kentucky with appropriation from President Roosevelt's New Deal programs.
