France - Paris - Bibliotheque nationale - Looking up 03
Darrell Godliman has added a photo to the pool:
I admire the design of the National Library by Dominique Perrault for it's simplicity. The strong concept of four L-shaped towers representing open books has been carried through with beautiful materials crisply detailed (presumably with a budget to match).
PS It seems I made Explore yesterday for the first time in six months with my Seine from the Arab Institute shot (albeit currently at No. 500). Of all the Paris shots I've uploaded over the past couple of months this one's a bit of a surprise, it's a nice enough photo but it's hardly had the views, comments, favourites that many others have. I almost didn't upload it, it just shows you should never try and second guess Flickrs Magic Donkey.
